In addition, please remember the following actions before leaving on your trip:

  • TAMU Foreign Travel rule requires approval documents to be submitted and approved in advance of foreign travel on behalf of the university.  These documents serve as notification that you are abroad and provide an opportunity for us to contact you in the event of an emergency.
  • Update your traveler profile in Concur to include your passport number and emergency contacts.  This information is helpful to TAMU in the event we need to coordinate with our emergency services provider, CISI, on your behalf or contact you directly.
  • Save the phone numbers for CISI emergency services in an accessible location and use it when needed.  Inside the US, toll free 855-327-1411.  Outside the US, call collect 312-935-1703.
  • See the State Department's travel website for the Worldwide Caution, Travel Warnings, Travel Alerts, and Country Specific Information.
  • Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security messages from the U.S. State department and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact foreigntravel@tamu.edu or call 979-845-4821 for additional assistance.
